We stayed here with my parents, in-laws, and two young children. It was perfect. The unit is easily big enough to comfortably handle a large family. We loved having our meals on the large lanai overlooking the ocean. The property is beautiful with swimming pools for kids and parents. The immediate property of the unit has brought us back already as it faces out onto a large lawn then directly out to a sand beach and the ocean with perfect surfing waves. It is walking distance to Lahaina for meals, drinks or shave ice and an easy drive to anywhere else in the island. We have every intention of returning.

We spent ten wonderful days in the rental and have no complaints what so ever. We loved being able to walk a few yards to the beach to swim and play in the sand. The house was well equipped and perfect for seven people. We particularly appreciated having chairs to take to the beach! We would definitely come back!

Having stayed at Puamana many times before, 9-1 is probably the finest unit we have ever rented. It is ideally located and perfectly equipped and furnished. We had a problem with the dishwasher, but Dave and the APVR team repaired it as soon as they could.

Wonderful, Great, Splendid, Beautiful, Relaxing, Over-the-Top!!
Wonderful accommodations, being able to see and hear the ocean 24/7 was magnificent. Home was loaded with amenities, even has a wine frig. Home had nice decorative touches. Loved that unit has 4 bedrooms and 3 baths to accommodate our family of 7 adults. The grounds of the property are very well maintained. The club house offers spacious setting areas and a well stocked library. Not sure if books were donated over the years by former guest but the supply was ample. Would recommend more donations of Hawaiian culture, Hawaiian cook books and books by African American authors would have been an added bonus. The swimming pool over the ocean was great and that it was a salt water pool was an added bonus. The pool starts at 5-1/2 ft and goes to 8 ft which can be a problem for non-swimmers and families with young children. Uber access for rides and drop offs is convenient. Overall we found other guests to be either to themselves or quite friendly. Security is definitely present on the property and all 7 of us would highly recommend our oceanfront condo unit and a vacation in Maui. Lastly, we also recommend the Road to Hana tour. Since there were 7 of us we arranged for a private tour. Book your luau early before traveling.
Two of the better luaus were booked a month in advanced. We attended the luau at the Hyatt. The food at the least expensive tend not to be as good. Also, we found using Uber cheaper than a car rental especially since we could split the fares among 4 of us. If you plan on grocery shopping avoid Safeway if possible (more expensive). We found Foodland Farms to be a good choice and one of our Uber drivers recommended, Times Supermarket but it was farther than Foodland from us.

Excellent rental home. Our family plus extended family of 6 adults and 2 children were very comfortable staying here. We loved having easy access to the beachfront (public path is just in front of the home) as well as being across the street from the kid-friendly pool and just a few minutes walk from the “adults” pool that overlooks the ocean. Puamana is a great community and close to Old Lahaina, would definitely stay here again. We did have a minor issue with one of the showers not draining well but the other two worked great along with the outside shower. The unit was comfortably air conditioned and with fans in each room. Beach chairs and umbrellas were available to use. The management responded promptly to any concerns and checked in periodically. I did think it was strange to have to do the separate registration and payment for our second rental car. For the price I would think management/concierge could register the car for us instead of taking time from vacation to do something like that. (We could provide license numbers via the check-in app or email on arrival).

We stayed in this place for a week for our daughter’s wedding. This was the best place we have ever stayed at in Maui. We were a few steps away from a private beach with great surfing. It was a quiet family setting where we could relax. The house was very clean and had all the amenities that a f smoky of 8 needed for our stay.

We recently stayed in 9-1 over the July 4th holiday. 9-1 is a great rental with plenty of space for our group of 8. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was well stocked. The bathrooms were updated and had nice fixtures. The grassy area behind the house was nice and seemed to be the place residents used most for direct beach access. The beach was very rocky in July - fine for playing in the water but not an ideal beach for relaxing and playing in the sand for littles. I would definitely recommend this rental. They had a couple beach chairs and umbrellas to use as well. Things that I would address if I owned the home: the air filter needs to be replaced, see why the two smaller bedrooms don’t seem to cool like the rest of the house, install bathroom fans to avoid having to opening the window and let out the AC, install more towel hooks in the bathrooms.

This property was ideal for our family's staycation. All we needed was our clothes and food to cook/eat. All other amenities were amply provided. The location could not have been better, steps away from ocean front, pool and playground just across the street from unit, Lahaina town just a shot drive away and a grassy front yard where grandsons could safely play. This 4 bedroom three bath property is well maintained, clean, and spacious for our ohana of 6 adults and 2 children. APVR provided excellent communication for preparing us for the arrival and departure procedures. We did not encounter any problems during our 3 night stay therefore we did not have to contact APVR for assistance. One minor oversight was each shower/tub was given hand soap instead of body soap to use. Fortunately each family took their own body wash. Our overall experience was excellent...great weather, excellent accommodations, convenient location and views. Thank you for permitting our ohana to use your property.

We had the BEST family holiday here. We are a family of 8 that stayed here. 7 Adults and 1 child just under 2. We cannot say enough wonderful things about this rental as it perfectly met our family needs. We had the best time here! Oceanfront, clean, great floorplan, guard gated community, and incredible service. We had such a great experience throughout from booking, pre-arrival, check-in, and check-out. The description was as described and even better once we actually saw it. The unit was very clean and very well maintained. We received excellent and very speedy service with any question that we had. I would definitely recommend this to family and friends. We took in a variety of restaurants and activities in Lahaina and on the island itself. We love Maui! Our plan is to come back again with family and rent a few units! Its perfect as it is out of the way of the busyness that can happen on vacations. We loved that it was a gated community and had beautifully stunning grounds, so well maintained and three pools, a clubhouse, a small playground, tennis courts, couldn't ask for more. Thank you for such a positive experience.

We had a wonderful time in this condo during the week between Christmas and New Years.
It looks just like the pictures...beautifully redone. It had to have been renovated just his year. The furnishings and accessories are bright and brand new.
The condo is furnished with really nice accessories. I've never been in a rental that had Chicago cutlery in the kitchen.
The owners and their rep on the island were extremely helpful and took care of any concerns we had.
One thing I really liked was the location. It's only about a mile to Front Street and all the action of Lahaina.
Maui has a lot of traffic, but this condo is located south of town and all the big high-rises, so it's a lot more quiet.
If we did it again, I might have rented a scooter to run to town, since parking is the hardest thing in Lahaina.
Did I mention it's right on the sand? You walk out the patio and go a few feet to the beach. It's fun at 5 pm to sit outside and watch the sunset.
I'd rent here again in a heartbeat.

Amazing location and wonderfully updated place. Our only hiccup was the air conditioning went out the last 3-4 days of our stay and despite an attempt at fixing it, it was unable to be fixed during our stay.

We used the two chairs, beach towels and cooler provided to adventure to other beaches around the island.

This was our second visit to this excellent rental home. The home is updated, clean, and spacious, stocked with every kitchen appliance you could want or need, and steps away from the beach. It is also conveniently located, just minutes away from Front Street. My son says this is his "favorite place in the world." We will absolutely return.

We were very happy with our stay at A Perfect Vacation Rental. It fit our needs very well! Having the beautiful grass area right outside our patio, and beach access right in front of that! No need to really go anywhere. A couple of us walked to town several times, but others felt the need to drive. Either way, it's very close, and we loved that. Surfing and swimming right in our front yard. We give this unit an A+!

Great oceanfront unit! Walk or bike to historic Lahaina. A remodeled, clean unit with all the comforts needed for a great Maui getaway!

We absolutely loved our stay at 9-1!!! The grounds were gorgeous and peaceful and the condo was the perfect size for 3 couples and 2 babies. The condo was surprisingly baby proof with some outlet covers and no reachable decorations that my one year old could destroy which was a great relief to me. There was enough seating for all six adults to have a comfortable chair in the living room which was important to me. Dinners on the lanai were picture perfect. We used the adult pool and baby pool almost every day and it was so nice to have the baby pool so close! (But not so close you heard the screaming kids) We used the gym and tennis courts. The location is great on the south end of Lahaina. It is walkable but it is rather long in the hot sun and there is no sidewalk on Front St. from the Condo for baby strollers so driving with little ones would be a better option. The grass in front of the condo was wonderful for morning yoga and the babes to run around and we met so many great families watching the sunset in the evenings. When we needed more washcloths Rick was great and brought some new ones to us. I received a call checking in on us when we arrived and before we left to make sure the stay was wonderful. There was a big swell when we were there so we didn't use the small beach as it was too rough for us but it was great entertainment to watch the surfers and SUPers. The only complaints I have is the hefty credit card processing fee and a lack of enough beach supplies. I really feel that the fee should be built into the price for a rental of this price point and not tacked on at the end. I rented chairs, cooler, umbrella and beach tent from Maui on the Fly as they weren't sure what was left in the condo and I wanted to be prepared with the babies. There were plenty of beach towels though! Overall the Condo was A++ and I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much for sharing this special place!

We had 4 adult couples and a 13month old stay for 9 nights in 9-2. The booking was extremely easy and whenever I had questions the group with APVR were wonderful with quick responses. They also helped with baby gear rental.

This is a great condo. Just a few paces from the beach and a perfect spot to watch the sunset every night fall behind the island Lanai. The condo is very clean and fully equipped. They even provided binoculars for viewing all the passing ships. We never ran out of hot water (using all 4 bedrooms) and all equipment operated flawlessly. Nice shaded parking for our rental car and simple swimming pools completed the outside. After a day of fun on the island, enjoy the lanai patio at sunset, for family dinners, grilling out or just a quite time.

Experience was very good. Rental is within a gated area; it accommodated well three couples and two young children. Location is beach-front with a nice wide grassy area before the beach. The beach is sand, not very wide, but perfectly safe for young children under adult supervision. In addition, one has access to three pools. One of the pools has a playground nearby. The gated area has much vegetation and is very well maintained. The only negative: we had difficulty with the freezer, been not able to set it up cold enough for ice cream.

We enjoyed our stay at 9-1 so very much. The home was fresh and clean. You can't do any better than this for location with the beach right out the back door! Lots of outside play area for the kids, pools were nicely maintained and enjoyable. It was also nice to be so close to Lahaina - just a nice jog or walk. Overall, this was one of our best family vacations.

The location was wonderful. The beach was a few feet from the house. The home itself was such high quality and had everything we needed. I would recommend this property and am glad we stayed there as it enhanced our vacation.

Our family of three couples and two children spent a lovely week in Lahaina. We body surfed, snorkeled, laughed, sunned, ate and played games.

I was with 3 other couples and the house was perfect! We would go there again in a heart beat! Probably the best equipped vacation rental that we have stayed at. Great location to downtown Lahaina and the view from the Lanai is as advertised with surfing and SUP right off the shore!

Simply amazing!! This was the perfect spot for our family of 7. Location is amazing and the unit itself is everything you would want for a relaxing get away. Perfect central location for exploring Maui. The unit itself is so great, some days we found it hard to get motivated to go anywhere but our backyard! Sunset every night right from our lanai. Not one complaint. We will dream of coming back one day!

What a fabulous setting to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary with our children and grandchildren! We felt right at home in the Puamana community and our spacious oceanfront beach house exceeded our expectations. The house was neat and clean and beautifully decorated. The kitchen appliances, cookware and dinnerware were top-notch, including everything we needed. We loved the open floor plan from kitchen to living room to the outdoor dining area on the lanai, all with a pristine view of the ocean. The expansive yard was the perfect place for the kids to romp and play and the swimming pool was just a short walk away. And there is no better place to pull up your lawn chair to watch the see the setting sun. The location was the best! Each day, our family enjoyed taking a walk down the oceanfront to access the beach area for sandcastle building, playing in the water and watching the surfers. Another favorite was riding bikes into Lahaina for some shopping. There is so much to explore on the island of Maui and nothing better than returning to this lovely beach house. Our rental representatives, Dave and Rick, were so friendly, gracious and accommodating to our needs. We loved everything about our stay and hope to have the opportunity to return.

We were delighted with Puamana and our condo in particular. There were six of us with plenty of room, beautiful access to the beach and blessed with perfect weather in early January. The location was great and the privacy afforded by our gated community was great.
