This was a great property for a family. Plenty of room, clean and updated. We enjoyed the community as well. Very quiet and gated. The landscaping was beautiful. Property had two outdoor spaces and was a short walk to pools and beach. Private beach was clean and great for the family to enjoy. We would stay here again.

Overall we loved our stay at 87-1 Puamana. We are a family of 6 and the house was not only beautiful but had the ideal layout for my husband and I on the main level and all 4 kids in the upstairs loft area. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything one could need during their stay. Loved all the beach gear (chairs, surf boards, body boards, beach toys) outdoor shower, and the front and back lanais. Nice added touch to have games and a basket of current books to use. While the air conditioning was broke was part of our stay, we were notified in advance, provided with portable units, and was fixed during the stay. My only complaint was with the condo security staff. The office was closed upon our arrival on Maui and we immediately called security who indicated it was not a problem and to just go to the office anytime the next day between 9-5 p.m. We had a snorkeling excursion the next day from 7-12 p.m., went to lunch, and immediately went back to the condo to check-in around 2:30. Later that day, we received a 'courtesy notice' that we needed to registered our vehicle (already did and sticker was on van) or we would be fined yet the prior day we were given until 5:00 to register. The night of fireworks, security came by 5 minutes before the fireworks were set to go off and kicked everyone out saying that we had to go somewhere else to watch because they were closing the pool 2 hours early without any advanced notice. While I loved the complex, these 2 encounters would be reason enough to consider staying somewhere different on our next visit which is unfortunate since the condo unit was perfect in every other way.

Our family of five had an amazing stay! The location was superb - close enough to the action of Front Street but far away to feel secluded. The beach access was dreamy and the pools were loved by our kids. The interior was clean, updated and the beds were incredibly comfortable. We'll definitely be coming back!

Puamana 87-1 family condo is more then perfect for our size family. The home YES "HOME" is a corner unit which is clean very neat and well decorated and has all the comforts the whole family needs for a beach vacay home away stay. The condo has a huge master bedroom with a private master bath laundry and another bathroom for the others in your party. The upstairs loft is perfect for kids of all sizes even adults I appreciated the extra beds for families of 5 or 6! The unit has AC though the islands are always the perfect temperature you could open a window and feel the island breeze. I can't forget the extended living area which is always my favorite the lanai which features an outside shower which we used daily after out beach excursions oh and I wouldn't want to forget the lanai my girls absolutely loved loved the swing in the mornings. Its the little things too that I loved all the labeling so you know where things go and lists of popular places on the island. Also, there is no real beach within the Puamana but there is ocean access but I always feel bad like I'm walking into someones back yard when I go to the ocean at the Puamana because you have to walk past others launi's to get to the ocean. The condo has all the extra comforts as well like the ice chests, boogie boards, surf board, beach towels, volleyball, beach chairs, etc... all this makes this an A++ property for me. I do have to say this though I wish I could find a condo of this quality outside the Puamana compound. Puamana is lovely don't get me wrong its just not for everyone they have very strict rules and I have stayed in the Puamnan many times and also own a vacation homes within a gated community so I understand the restrictions and respect them but others need to know that Puamana isn't rental people friendly they are extremely strict and I found some of the locals to be unfriendly towards the "renters".

Cozy and well-equipped, this little home was the perfect landing spot for our family of 4 adults to spend 5 days. Lots of space with recent renovation and comfortable beds. The home is not Oceanside but is a short 5 minute walk through a really beautiful and quiet gated community. Location could not be beat - a few minutes drive from Lahaina and Front street activities, but just removed enough that you get peace and quiet at night.

Note that both bathrooms are downstairs while multiple beds are upstairs, so be aware in case members of your party has mobility issues.

House was stocked with kitchen supplies of all kinds, and basic cooking ingredients like salt, pepper, cooking oil. All appliances worked great.

We were extremely pleased with the prompt communications and detailed instructions from the hosts. Questions were answered via text almost immediately.

We loved our home here and can’t wait to return!

A great place to stay with fully stocked kitchen, flat screen tvs, great Internet, wonderful beds, great bathrooms and comfortable beds. Alls the materials you need for the beach - cooler, boogie boards, great towels.... Very close to the beach with 3 pools and a clubhouse at the beach where you can sit and enjoy the sunsets. Close to the action on Front Street. A wonderful place to stay.

87-1 was the perfect size for our family of 6. It was clean and comfortable and the ac works well. The beds are amazing and I wanted to take the master setup home with me! We would definitely stay here again. Our suggestions- update the provided beach gear and provide more beach towels. What was there was cheap and/or missing/falling apart. If we had known this ahead of time we would have rented gear. Also, we experienced a power outage the night before our departure (it was a large area outage) and realized the unit is not equipped with lanterns or flashlights. That was disappointing and had us stressing we would have to pack in the dark. I highly suggest adding an emergency kit for those unexpected situations.
