58-1 Oceanfront

This condo was fabulous. It was located right where you want to be on the west side. The sunsets from the back porch are amazing as is the rest of the property. We loved the 25 minute walk down to the main part of town.

We were just two couples visiting in early March, and this was more than enough space! The ground floor lanai was perfect with a great view for whale watching - it really made the space feel even bigger. The neighborhood felt safe, quiet, and tucked away. I enjoyed going for a jog in the morning (it’s only 1mi from the Banyan tree). They had everything we needed including: towels, cooler, blender, even some boogie boards (that we didn’t end up using). The place did seem a little dated and quirky, but we were very comfortable. Communication was easy / self checkin and checkout. They allowed us to be a little flexible on those times too, by about an hour or two - which we really appreciated! I’ll definitely be back!!

APVR was quick to get the issue addressed and actually installed new fans! Always incredible views and relaxing stay.

You cannot beat this location - steps from the water and very private. The kitchen cabinets need some upgrading and the stove's temperature dials have worn out. The facilities were very responsive to our other requests.

This is a nice unit on the quiet north end of the property. The unit is a little dated, but clean and comfortable.

Note that the 2 upstairs bedrooms share a bathroom, but there is a good downstairs en-suite bedroom too.

Two couples enjoyed the unit for 5 nights. The unit is beautiful, well-appointed and spotless. And you literally couldn’t be any closer to the water without getting wet. We loved the Puamana community as well: beautiful grounds and clubhouse, plus a very nice pool. We hope to return!

This place at the Puamana embraces the Ohana Vibe. It was cozy and felt like home. Clean and well appointed. The best features were the views and convenience to Lahaina. The sunsets were epic. My only downside was there was no broom or vacuum to do a quick cleaning should it be needed. That is super minor especially to most on vacation, I am a
just a clean freak. All things considered and the great value my wife and I will definitely return to Puamana. The management was so helpful. This trip was delayed a full year due to Covid. APVR honored their stay price from last year, in addition they extended our check out time 1 hour to accommodate our flight, and they answered the phone on a Saturday for a quick question. I so appreciate that type of customer service. I would like to personally thank Dave for his professionalism and kindness. MAHALO!

This is the second time my family has stayed in this condo and will most likely return again. It is the perfect location! Right on the ocean and feels completely private because it is an end unit. An easy one mile walk to Lahaina. The management company was great - always available and timely responses. They called us right after we checked in to see how we were doing and right after we checked out to see how our stay was. We highly recommend unit 58-1!

The unit is clean and well located. We had a couple of issues and the property management was very, very quick to address them. We do like to do most of our own cooking, so the unit could really use an upgrade on the knives and small cooking items (for instance, a spatula would have been nice to have!) The bathrooms (2 with nice showers and 1 half bath) are well appointed. If you are short (I am 5'2") you will have difficulty washing your face in the main floor bathroom because the vessel sink is quite high...I had to stand on my tip toes. (Perhaps the owners are quite tall?)Overall, our stay was very comfortable.
Having been to Puamana many times over the past 30+ years, I'd say our only disappointment is that the beach is still pretty much gone.

The description of this home is right on point. The views from the lanai are absolutely breathtaking. We celebrated the sunsets every evening. This resort is perfectly situated near Lahaina and just a few minutes from the Kaanapali Coast. Our condo had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the clubhouse has a lovely traditional Hawaiian ambiance that we just loved. We did not want to leave, and we will definitely return.

This lovely 3-bedroom, 2 1/2 bath condo was right on the ocean. Two of the bedrooms looked out onto the ocean, one adjoining the patio and one with a private balcony. Peaceful and quiet and within easy access of the night life of Lahaina and the beautiful, but busier, Kaanapali Beach. Calls were promptly answered by the property manager. Just everything we had hoped for, and more!

This place is truly magical! The sounds of the ocean can be heard from every room. Now I truly understand the phrase: Location Location Location! We spent a week here and enjoyed every minute of it. The views from this property are spectacular. You can enjoy your mornings and evenings on the deck or on the lanai. The place was very clean and had all the items you would need for a comfortable stay. The property is safe, quiet and has great amenities, pools, gym, and clubhouse. The location is perfect - it's about 8 minutes (drive, 15-minute walk) away from the historic front street yet secluded so that you can enjoy some time away from the tourist hustle. Additionally, this townhome is a 3 bedroom 2.5 baths which can be hard to find. I can't say enough good things about this property. If you are looking for a place of sanctuary and relaxation as well as having the beauty that is Maui right off your lanai this is the place to stay!

Stayed here for 9 nights with our daughters, son-in-law, and 10 month-old granddaughter. A good time was had by all. The unit is lovely and the view is unbeatable.

The condo was beautiful and right on the water. Large bedrooms and bathrooms. As described. 15 minute walk to town. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The few downsides- when we arrived the upstairs bedroom had an AC leak the day before and some of the floor was wet and smelled bad. They were very responsive to fix but it should have been inspected before our arrival. It was clean but dusty. The upstairs bed was very soft - too soft for me, but some might like it. The beach is seasonal and we had a longer walk than expected. It wasn’t a big problem, just something to note. Other than that - fantastic!!

We absolutely loved this condo! We spent a lot of time bbqing on the oceanfront lanai, laying at the pool and enjoying the amazing views. The property was clean, well located and perfect for the 6 of us. We would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I decided to take my son and go meet my daughter on her way home from a 6 month adventure in Australia and New Zealand. It was the kids first time to Hawaii and we all had a relaxing and fun week. The condo was well appointed and clean and the location 'perfect'! So nice to have the ocean right in front of the lanai! We would definitely stay here again!!

We had a fabulous time staying in this lovely condo. It is has a gorgeous setting and the ocean really crashes right in the backyard. The house is stocked perfectly, plenty of towels, kitchen supplies and paper products. The location is convenient to Lahaina and many other things youll want to see. We loved staying here!

Lovely townhouse situated right on the ocean! We watched whales , sailboats, an enormous cruise ship, and lots of sea turtles from the lanai. The place was clean and well stocked with towels, kitchen gadgets, and all of the necessities. We had a relaxing and luxurious week dining outside, swimming in the pools, playing tennis, and surfing - all on campus! Lovely!

As always, we had a great vacation in Lahaina. We love Puamana!

I have stayed in this unit before,and absolutely love the location, and will probaby return. My reason for not giving it a great review is because the unit is in need of an upgrade; everything from the dull knives, decore, and not very comfortable beds. We had to ask that the unit be cleaned again, as it was very obvious that the east bedroom sheets had not been cleaned.

Liked the view of ocean with Lanai in background. We went to Lanai for part of a day because of that view.
The covered patio was nice. Spent lot of time out there. Liked the neighborhood community. Did some jogging on the streets at sunrise.

The only issue that needs attending is that none of the screen doors work.
They constantly come off their tracks and that is all of them.

The views are unbelievable and you a literally a few yards from the ocean. Please note there is NOT a beach at this location. The ocean wall and rocks are at the edge on this condo. You can walk out on them to get into the ocean to kayak or snorkel if you want to. We did not see any whales from our back lanai as we had hoped, but took a nice whale tour from Makai Adventures and saw several whales. It was amazing. Recommend the Road to Hana and Haleakala as well to see the sunrise. There are very nice sandy beaches within a short drive if you care about that. All basic necessities are provided here as well as beach towels. We did encounter a few ants in the kitchen, but I'm sure that is to be expected on the island. Again, we would recommend this location to anyone. Mahalo!

This condo is definitely as advertised. Well appointed, beautiful travertine, updated everywhere. The view from the Lanai is stunning. The pools are never overcrowded. 20 minute walk to downtown Lahaina.

We had an amazing 8 day stay at Puamana 58-1. The condo was spacious and right on the ocean. We sat on the lanai and enjoyed watching the surfers and sea turtles play. It was about a 20 minute stroll into the town center. The unit was comfortably furnished and the kitchen had everything we needed. We appreciated the beach towels and enjoyed the ocean pool with the waves lapping up on the deck. We will be back! Thanks Rick for making our stay easy and delightful!

My guests and I absolutely loved this rental, we were so sad that we had to leave. The views from the condo is just breathtaking. The house itself felt very welcoming and clean. It was fully stocked with everything we needed. The location is amazing, so close to front st. The gated entry made us feel safe. We will definitely come back to 58-1 for our Maui vacations !

The condo was most definitely the highlight of our stay in Maui. Beautifully appointed with the Pacific as our backyard. Watching the sunrise and sunset from our Lanai was amazing. Loved it and any questions we had were quickly responded to by the managers of the unit. I would give the location 10 stars if I could!

Our family of 8 rented 58-1, a 3 bedroom oceanfront unit along with 57-1 which is a 2 bedroom unit located just across the parking lot.We have been vacationing at Puamana for over 20 years and 58-1 was the nicest condo we have stayed in. First off, the location can't be beat. Ocean front with a beautiful lanai, we watched the turtles and dolphins as well as the beautiful sunsets every day. The condo was gorgeous inside and the kitchen was stocked with essentials (coffee filters, spices, dish detergent). I love the location of building 58, near the ocean pool, tennis courts, club house, but on the north west end of the complex so it is quiet. There are two full baths, one onsuite for the downstairs queen bedroom, and one upstairs that the king bedroom and the queen bedroom share, as well as a powder room off the entry way. All in all, we had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed 58-1.

A stunning location! The location is beautiful and the property condition was fantastic.The couple of times we needed something attended to during our stay was responded to immediately by the manager.

On entering the gates of the community, I knew that I had picked the perfect place to enjoy a fun family vacation in paradise. My parents and cousin flew all the way from Ireland to see Maui again and this home and its location made our stay the most memorable vacation to date. The house is beautifully remodeled and furnished and the kitchen is well stocked with all needed modern conveniences. The only time we were not on the patio enjoying perfect weather, beautiful ocean and breaching whales was when we were cooking or sleeping! We all slept with our patio doors open, this neighborhood is quiet, secure and safe. Don't look any further, nothing can beat this home and its location.

This was our first time staying in Puamana. We typically go to Maui once per year and typically stay in the Wailea area. Puamana is in an excellent location if you desire to spend time in Lahaina - it is a 15 minute walk although not recommended to be walked at night. If you stay in Wailea a lot, Puamana is an excellent change (almost like a different vacation in Maui - different golf courses, different restaurants, etc). The Puamana development is somewhat outdated (old clubhouse, limited workout facility, etc.), so don't go there looking for top of the line amenities. With that said, it situated in a wonderful setting with excellent views of Lanai and the Lahaina harbor. The seaside pool is really nice, but was a little on the cold side. The unit itself is as advertised. Remodeled, clean and very close to the water - although a little pricy. We took my elderly parents (86 and 91) for the first week and they enjoyed it (very nice having a master suite on the first floor - especially for elderly folks). The parking is right outside the front door of the unit - which was also nice. Every morning, we saw turtles in the ocean right outside our unit while drinking coffee. Sunsets were spectacular. My only complaint about our stay was that the unit next to us was being renovated and was noisy on some days (we stayed two weeks). With that said, Dave was very professional and apologized for the situation (we booked 9 months in advance - so we understood the oversight of not having this communicated this to us) and gave us a slight credit for the inconvenience. We would definitely stay at this property again. Before booking any property at Puamana - I would inquire about any construction that is occurring. Many of the units do require some updating (many of the units are likely greater than 30 years old) and the unit next to ours wasn't the only unit being worked on.

Absolutely amazing!!! This was our first time and we did not know what to expect. Our mouths dropped open when we walked into the beautiful condo and saw the ocean view. This has become our new family tradition!!

our party of six could not have been happier with our stay. It's actually lovelier than the pictures and description. It was very clean and beautifully maintained and well stocked. We enjoyed daily walks into town to shop and dine,the younger ones surfed right out back, played tennis and worked out at the small gym. I would definitely recommend this property and hope to return next year.

Puanama is exactly as they represent it. Sent a picture from the patio and some friends thought it was a postcard picture! Absolutely beautiful, condo was spotless. I would definitely stay here again. Only reason for the 4 star rating is there were some bikes and surfboards on property but locked up and unable to use.

I think I loved our stay the most out of our family. I just loved how close it was to the water. Beds were a concern prior to arriving and they proved to meet our expectations and just slept soundly with the doors to the upper lanai open listening to the surf. All rooms had TV's but were rarely used with the exception of our daughter and Disney channel.I relaxed the moment I arrived.

It was a good walk into Lahaina about 10 -15 minutes. Further than they suggest.

The negatives were this. The beach directly in front has no sand and is rock (it also had no people on or in it which is a plus). Shallow and not swimmable. There is nothing other than the basics. No bikes or paddleboards or even beach chairs. The kitchen had all the hardware but lacked basics such as salt and pepper or any spices etc. We had to buy all that. The Fridge was clean with ice dispenser and all but nothing else, no mustard or ketchup. It's not that I was expecting it but we were hoping there was some system in place where the basics were covered and dated as to purchase date or something by the previous group. Maybe the cleaners just take it all.

The area was really great. The pools were fantastic, especially the waterside pool as it was deep and keeping kids to a minimum just was a nice touch there. The main beach was great for paddle boarding, surfing and the waves were perfect for playing in with young kids too.

The unit was great - but very pricy. We easily paid the most of any one that we talked to. possibly by 100% more. That said - I paid for it and I loved it - I really did. I would stay again for sure but try to negotiate a better rate.

An excellent location and well maintained facility.

Spent 10 days in early Dec/2012 celebrating a 50th b/d (not mine!). Arrived late at night, next morning woke up to a fantastic view of the ocean, palm trees, ... paradise!! Saw turtles, a seal, and even some whale spouts right out in front of the condo. $1M view!! Wouldn't hesitate to rent this condo again, unfortunately, now everyone will know how nice this is. Everyone we dealt with in the rental process was professional, helpful, and great to deal with which helped make this one of our best trips to Hawaii, and to quote A/Swartzenegger, WE WILL BE BACK!!

Puamana is a fabulous place to be! It is beautiful, well kept, and it feels like "old" Hawaii. Our 3-bedroom ocean front condo was very nice. It was newly remodelled, and quite luxurious. We cooked all our meals at the condo and had great dinners on the patio. The kitchen could have been equipped a bit better, but for the most part it was okay. We love to cook so perhaps this is more important to us than it would be for others. We definitely plan on returning!

Puamana is a rare gem that we have visited many times over the past ten years in a variety of different units. More recently we have had the pleasure of renting through APVR who offer great service and superior units. They make the reservation process very easy and have been most helpful in ensuring we are provided with the perfect unit to meet our needs. The units are beautifully furnished, very comfortable, well appointed and maintained, allowing for a truly relaxing vacation. The location is quiet and private with a view of the island of Lanai making for spectacular sunsets. We love the close proximity to all of Puamana's amenities; oceanfront pool, tennis, paddleboarding, great biking, golf and Lahaina really doesn't get any better than this!
