Great location! Management responded immediately to a problem that came up. Incredible ocean view with spectacular sunsets. Perfect for a family!

272-1 is exactly as described. The unit was clean and in good condition. The unit had beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards that we used and appreciated. The management company's communicate before and during our stay was just perfect (clear and concise).
Location was 4 star for distance to the pools and clubhouse. We came with 3 other families whose units were around the clubhouse so it was not convenient to visit. However, privacy and direct ocean view made up for it. The distance to Lahaina town is definite 5 star.
The only other issue we had was the 3rd bedroom which did not have pictures on the website which concerned us before booking this unit. Our concern was justified because it was like an "attic" bedroom. If the people staying in this room are tall then it could be a problem. My boys are both 5'5 so it was fine but be aware. It was also hotter than the other rooms but the small bedroom air conditioner was fine. Would I rent this unit again? Probably if there are no other units closer to the clubhouse that are ocean front.

Our experience was very good! The rental company managing the unit was very responsive. As shared with the management company, there were some general maintenance issues. Cleaning could be improved, like the floors being washed/mopped (I wiped them as my feet got dirty walking across the floor) and that someone (Maintance or cleaning person) checks the grill for cleaning (I had to cleaning it as the bottom was full of grease) and the vent from the dryer to the exterior (vent line full of lint & sand). The design and layout of the unit was very relaxing and you felt that the ocean was part of the unit itself. Location is amazing. Rental managers were very responsive and very nice.

We rented 272-1 Pualei for our 50th anniversary with three couples and one grandchild. The condo is spacious and accommodated us graciously. It was clean and best, was 30 feet from the ocean. However, to get onto the sandy beach you need to walk a half a mile toward the clubhouse as the beach is blocked off in front of the condo. Also there are no bicycles provided so the hike to the clubhouse is a long walk. The ONLY negative is that the third bedroom is in two twin bed attic and is quite cramped. Otherwise all is as advertised and is highly recommended.

Overall a very nice stay at a very nice location! It would be nice if guests were told up front that there is a $50 fine if you leave the hammock out overnight.

Clean, large, well appointed kitchen. Gorgeous views from master bedroom and back patio. Upstairs bedroom with 2 twin beds was small and my daughter accidentally hit her head on the sloped ceiling. The area and location were clean and close to Front street. I thought it was a litigator to walk to in the heat.

Fantastic! Awesome! Better than advertised. Highlight of our vacation. We stayed two places on the big island and this place on Maui. We ended up deciding that if/when we can come back, it would be to Maui and especially this location. We would buy a house here if we could.

This unit puts you right on the water and the view is beautiful!! But we did have some issues. First of all, be aware that this unit is part of a much larger gated community, it is the very last one so location is farthest drive from the gated entrance. It is not close to any of the pools. And there is no direct beach access from the unit. I did not research this beforehand but I should have.
Also we had an issue with A/C during our stay. The first floor unit was not working when we arived and the indoor temperature was 85 degrees in the evening. We had to ask for service the next business day and parts needed to be ordered. I don't know why it wasn't noticed during the cleaning service prior to our stay that the unit was hot and AC not functioning. I think they fixed it by the last day of our stay but didnt tell us it was working so we didnt get a chance to use it. On the second floor the A/C units are set to shut off after 6 hrs making it tough to stay comfortable if you like to sleep on vacation longer than 6 hours at a time. There are no window coverings in the first floor kitchen which faces walkway for privacy/security. And the unit does not have any boogie boards, beach chairs or beach toys available for use. There were plenty of beach towels though.

While we knew this property would be special, we had no idea how stunning and relaxing it would feel being literally feet from the sound of the surf.

Our comfort with the rental started well before we arrived on Maui. The clear communications from the management company upon our rental and the detailed information provided in the state-of-the-art app gave us every assurance that navigating the property after business hours (i.e. access codes to main gate, access to this home) would be seamless, and it was. We arrived after dark and found the home to be exactly as described. It was clean, open, airy, thoroughly appointed kitchen, plenty of clean linens, excellent lay-out and truly stunning front-yard view.

The well-stocked kitchen and BBQ grill made it simple to cook at home, eliminating the desire to dine out - even with a vast array of restaurants within walking and biking distance.

During our stay, paddleboarders and surfers played the waves just off the shore and provided endless entertainment.

The salt-water adults swimming pool at Puamana perched at the ocean edge was spectacular and a regular favorite of ours.

The hammock (with anchors on two shore-facing palm trees) was a particular joy, especially in the mornings.

While Lahaina, Cannery Row and Kaanapali are all very accessible, because of the time we were traveling (Winter 2020), we opted to be less social this trip. This made the open-space and homey feeling of 272-1 all that more important to us. We could've easily stayed here for a full month or longer.

Great location, very clean, and everything you could need

Puamana is in a great location with easy access to Lahaina and other island destinations. The proximity to the ocean (20 feet) and the views from the lanai and master bedroom were as advertised. Plenty of space for our party of 6. The kitchen is spacious and the LG appliances nice. We cooked several meals in the unit and used the outdoor grill. There were plenty of beach chairs provided for our use plus two umbrellas, an ice chest, and six beach towels. I recommend this property and we would be happy to return to Puamana 272-1 for our next Maui vacation. We may consider a unit with a second story deck next time just to enhance the experience. A great escape from worrying about Covid back home. Everyone in Maui was wearing masks. It was easy to find restaurants with outdoor seating. Go to Maui now for a relaxed atmosphere, plenty of parking and spots in the shade at the beach, and little traffic!

We had a great time during our recent stay on Maui. Puamana is a great location if you enjoy water based activities AND the convienience of having the shops and restaurants of Lahaina close by. 272-1 one was nice and a great location to the water although it is a far from anything else is Puamana as you can get. The loft bedroom is really just for kids or very short adults, but it worked great for us. We did have quite a problem with the phone lines and had to stay "home" for two afternoons in order to meet the repairman. We had a problem with mice too.

A very nice stay. Three small problems, door code incorrect on entry, gate code expired one day early and the bed in the second room had a terrible mattress. Otherwise a wonderful, clean, beautiful view, great location.

Staying at this property was one of the best weeks in my life. We greatly enjoyed the convenient location to the center of Lahaina, the incredible ocean view and the fully equipped house. We can't imagine staying elsewhere in Maui.

Robin was very organized and helpful in communicating prior to our visit in their lovely home on Maui.

What a wonderful home! We greatly enjoyed the beach, the home, watching whales over morning coffee and dinners on the beach! IT WAS WONDERFUL!!! We'll be back.

The only drawback is that the upper bedroom really is for kids only. The room is small with low ceilings and not condusive to tall people. Other than that, absolutely no complaints. Mahalo to the owners.

We were very, very pleased that the home was even better than we expected!!!! The view from the master bedroom was fantastic. Our family of six fit just right. My son surfed just off the patio. We loved the quiet location,minutes from Lahaina. We used the Road to Hana CD in the entertainment center..and took advantage of eating recommendations! The small drop from the grass to the beach was too much for our old knees, so we drove the block or two to 'easy' access. Thank you, Thank you for a lovely vacation spot....we didn't want to leave!!

My husband and I spent a wonderful week here with our 4 adult sons. We live in different locations in California, so do not see each other but about 3 times a year. This was the perfect place for us to relax and enjoy the island--everything was at our finger tips. The view from the townhome was amazing and I loved the sound of the ocean--especially at night while falling asleep. Robin was very helpful and accommodating. We can't wait to go back.

This was our second stay at Puamana - our first stay was in a different unit. We love this location and property. Having convenient access to the beach, pool, playground and run around room is important for us & the kids. It is always such a treat being ocean front. Robin is friendly, very helpful and a pleasure to deal with.
Our stay was excellent and it was very hard to go home!
We forgot our binoculars and think being ocean front, this would be a real great "nice" to have item in the unit. Also, having a gas grill would be another bonus - again, this would be a "nice" to have item and overall the unit is fully equipped with every thing you would need for a stay in paradise.

My husband and I just stayed at this property with our 3 teenage kids to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We have traveled extensively over the years, and this definitely tops our list as #1 - even beats a 4 star resort! The location was perfect. The ocean just steps away - enjoying early moonlit mornings, breathtaking sunsets, listening to the surf each night, and daily whale sightings. The unit was at the end of the complex, making it a quiet location. There was some road noise that could be heard from the back bedrooms, but our kids were not bothered by it at all. We also enjoyed being walking distance to Lahaina. The home was spotless, well supplied and was an ease to communicate with Robin. We would HIGHLY recommend this "slice of heaven"!

The place was great! We loved the oceanfront view. Only slightly negative comment would be the worn carpet.

My family and I just enjoyed a wonderful vacation on the island of Maui. Our stay at Puamana was fabulous. The condo was located right on the water with beautiful ocean views and plenty of space for all six of us. We had everything that we needed right at our fingertips. I especially enjoyed watching the picturesque sunsets each evening from the lani. The resort grounds and pools were just as terrific. Everything moved along smoothly and efficiently with APVR from the moment I made the arrangements up until the time we completed our vacation. I would highly recommend APVR to anyone, and I look forward to returning next year. A special thanks to Robin and Matt for allowing us to enjoy paradise in such great fashion.

This vacation was to celebrate our 25th anniversary and my wife's 60th birthday. We couldn't have picked a better place to stay. Traveling to other locations on Maui, we really appreciated the location of this condo where is was quiet, ocean front, gated community and yet close to Lahaina to walk and close to drive to other locations. There were 8 of us, 4 adults and 4 young adults and we all had our space to relax. It was perfect. And we defintely will recommend your condo to others and would love to stay here again and again.

This was a perfect home--and picturesque spot--for our family gathering during our 40th wedding anniversary. Everything we needed was there--and sunsets were spectacular. Beach isn't the best for very young children...but the body-surfing (discovered toward the end of our week) is exceptional. We would highly recommend this Puamana house. We can only imagine what it must be like to see whales off the deck/front lawn. Two family pictures of the palm trees as backgrounds now sit in our Portland living room.

Everything that we were told about our stay was true and more. We had a great time and I hope we can come back.

This was the first time I rented a vacation home on line and I was a little worried that this might be a scam or if I would be getting a little grass hut when I got over there. Rests assure I am a real person, who rented this home for 7 days, and it was everything that was advertised. I had no problem with the whole experience, it was delightful and enjoyable.

This property offers way more privacy than Hotels or Resorts. The 6 plex Townhouse is the 1st of the 6 units you come to, 20 steps to your cars parking. The Townhouse is at the end of the road, which means more privacy. All the photos & amenities on their web site are accurate; they even had boogie boards that were not mention. The AC is real quiet (remote outdoor type), you hardly know it is on. I am a Contractor and I would class this unit as a high end up scale unit. (The AC, lighting and controls, all counter tops, floors, cabinets and decor are high end) There was plenty of room for us (4 adults and 2 kids). There was plenty of water activity to view and enjoy from the lanai such as Surfers from morning to night, cruise ships, the Atlantis sub and night dinner cruises ships with their decks all lit up reflecting on the water at night. The beach is sandy with mixed small black lava rocks, no problem swimming and playing in the water even for the kids. The kids loved the pools too. The walk to down town Lahaina was too long for us. It was 1.4 miles from the unit to the Banyan tree. The only negative comment is the bedroom on the land side was noisy due to the Honoapillani Hwy on the other side of the trees and fence. If you are not use to vehicle noise keep your window closed or the noise will bother you. (it didn’t bother me because I had the bedroom on the water side. :)) I would rent this home again and I have already told family and friends of this wonderful vacation spot.

What a beautiful home, with an amazing location just 20ft. from the ocean. This was a perfect home for a family vacation to celebrate our anniversary. We loved watching Sunsets, and Sunrises from the Lanai, as well as watching for Whales, and falling asleep listening to the waves crash on the beach. I would definately recommend this home!

I was disappointed to discover that the photos of the sandy beach were not the beach in front of the rental. While it was only a short walk to the beach depicted, I have young kids and was looking forward to it being out the door.
Robin was very helpful with everything and the rental is comfortable and clean. We really were able to have a great vacation.

It was the perfect vacation spot for a family gathering. Lots of time to do nothing, or we weren't far from all the things we wanted to do - zip line, luau, snorkelling, trying the body boards, it was a grea time

What a slice of heaven! All at your door; didn't feel like I had to leave Puamana. Could not have had a better spot for surfing, walking into Lahaina, runs, meals on the lanai, sunsets and beach/pool recreation.
The grounds and amenities were superb... great space. Loved the quaint club house ; and the added space it provided for a bit of quiet time.
We had relatives/friends renting 272-5 also so we could not have asked for a better location.
Would love to go back tomorrow for another vacation.

We truly enjoyed the townhouse. It was very comfortable and the view was fantastic!. Waking every morning to the beautiful ocean and palm trees was great. Every amenity we needed was available. The community itself is very quite and beautiful, just what we were looking for. It was jut my husband and me but a family or two couples could be very comfortable. We couldn't have found a better place. I suggest you get groceries on your way in, maybe at the Costco or WalMart near the airport.

What can we say except, we didn't want to come home. The whole experience was wonderful, so lovely to wake up with the ocean and then go and jump right in for a surf. Wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else.

The only negative was that the property is very close to a busy highway. In the 2nd & 3rd bedrooms the noise was significant.

A beautiful spot-very relaxing. Thanks to Robin for seeing to every little comfort (right down to the extra water shoes!) Nothing beats whale watching from the lanai. Perfect weather. Thanks for a great vacation!

This vacation rental was great! The views (especially from the master bedroom!) were to die for! Each morning sitting outside on the lanai eating papaya and watching the surfers and the boats go by was an absolute dream. I would most definitely recommend this rental.
